Ever notice how everyone sings a little louder during the hymns they know? Or how the older ladies always seem to have a fan and a handkerchief tucked away in their purses? And who can forget the race to the parking lot after service? It's like a marathon to beat the crowds. We can all remember those hilarious church moments that made us laugh and smile. Those moments may have been funny, but they show us the human side of our church and bring us closer together as a community. Let's take a trip down memory lane and share some of my observations as a child sitting in the church pews. Looking back, it's amazing to see how much I learned and grew from observing the rituals and practices of the church. Here are some of my memories.
